Meet REBEKAH

As a licensed therapist with nine years of experience, I specialize in helping adults navigate the emotional challenges that come with major life transitions, anxiety and depression, neurodivergence, and unique relational experiences, such as calling off an engagement. I’m passionate about guiding clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to move forward toward a more grounded, empowered, and meaningful life.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and American Sign Language from the University of Rochester, and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. My clinical background includes work in an outpatient clinic at a Johns Hopkins hospital, a group practice, and now, my own private therapy practice based in New York City.

In my work with adults (18+), I use an integrative, individualized approach to therapy, drawing from modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Person-Centered Therapy, and somatic-based strategies. I frequently use ACT as a foundation, as I deeply value its focus on building mental flexibility, honoring emotion, and guiding clients to live in alignment with their values.

Clients and colleagues often describe me as relatable, warm, compassionate, and real. I strive to create a therapeutic space that’s collaborative, action-oriented, and emotionally validating, ensuring you feel seen, supported, and gently challenged. Humor, when welcome, is also a part of how I connect; sometimes laughter really is a powerful form of healing.

I proudly work with adults of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences, and am committed to culturally responsive and inclusive care. I continuously engage in learning around how personal and cultural identity shapes mental health and relationships.

Curiosity is one of my core values, both as a person and as a therapist. I bring this into the therapy room by exploring your inner world with care and openness. I also invite creative tools when helpful, such as music, film, literature, or visual art, to help you express what may feel difficult to say out loud.

My mission is to help you define what “better” looks like on YOUR terms, and to guide you in building a life that feels more connected, manageable, and meaningful. Much of this work centers on improving your relationship with yourself, as well as with the people and world around you.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy dancing, listening to music, working out, trying new restaurants, and exploring NYC with my dog. These parts of my life often inspire metaphors and insights that I use in therapy, helping make the inner work more relatable and real.
